Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Eyler Funeral Chapel for Lewis Nelson White, who died Thursday morning following a heart attack. Rev J. Curtiss Russell officiated and interment was in Clarion Evergreen Cemetery. The Eyler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were Ed Hilpipre, John Schutt, Ed Arndorfer, Harold Thompson, Ray Duer and Frank Champlin. Mrs. A. M. Andrews was the organist and Carl Weitmon was the soloist.

Lewis Nelson White died at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 22 days, at the Clarion Memorial hospital on Thursday morning, Nov. 3 following a heart attack suffered earlier at his home. He was born May 12, 1894 in Chicago, Ill. to William and Kate White. At the age of 2 years the family moved to Wright County, Iowa, and he has lived all of his life in this vicinity. Lewis White was a World War I veteran and has been a member of the American Legion for 40 years. He was married to Sadie Arlene Carpenter on Dec. 20, 1919 and two children were born to this union: one son, Carroll W. White of Iowa Falls and one daughter, Mrs. Maurice Morford of Clarion. Lewis is survived by his wife, two children, one sister, Mrs. Olive Witherall and two grandchildren, Jim and Carol Morford. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
