March 23, 1915 --- June 7, 1996

Wayne Anthony Hilpipre, son of Charles and Jessie Rapp Hilpipre, was born March 23, 1915 in Wall Lake Township, Iowa, near Woolstock. He attended rural schools in Wall Lake Twp. On Jan. 13, 1971, he married Lillian Harker Askland in Cranston, SD. The couple farmed north of Webster City, IA and then moved to Webster City in 1980. His wife died in August of 1982. On July 13, 1987 he married Juanita Flaws at Brookings, S.D. The couple resided in Webster City, where he worked for Bob Kastler. Wayne is survived by his wife Juanita, Webster City; step-children, Steve Flaws of Ames, IA, Janice Beem, Duncombe, Robert Askland, Webster City, Sherry Rairdin, Cedar Rapids; 10 step-grand-children; several step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Alvin Hilpipre, Woolstock, Donald Hilpipre, Plainfield, Wisc.; sisters, Lavonne Story, Woolstock, Letty Reisetter, Radcliff, Mary Lou Diederich, Osage; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bernard, Charles, Jr., Virgil Hilpipre; sisters, Mildred King and Vera Olson. Mr. Hilpipre was a former member of the Moose Lodge.
