Former Helmar Woman Passes at Clarion, Iowa

Mrs. Tom Tendall, formerly of Helmar, passed away at her home in Clarion, Iowa, October 9. Mr. and Mrs. George O'Brien received word Monday evening of the death of the latter's aunt Mrs. Tom Tendall at Clarion, Iowa. They left on Wednesday morning to attend the funeral services Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Anderson accompanied them. They returned home Friday. Other relatives who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Tendall of Naperville; Mrs. Roy Peterson, Mrs. Eldridge Bean of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Koska of Newark.

Mrs. Tendall was born in the Bret place east of Helmar in April 1868, the daughter of Anders and Barbara Anderson. In 1894 she was married to Tom Tendall. Most of her life was spent in this vicinity until nineteen years ago they sold their farm and moved to their farm near Clarion, Iowa, where she passed away October 9.

Besides her husband, she leaves five sons and three daughters, Mrs. Berdie Rise, Mrs. Hazel Figlund, Mrs. Angeline Boucher, Otis, LeRoy, Ralph, Stancel and Adolph. The pallbearers were the five sons-in-law. One son Lister, and three brothers, John, Newt and Andrew, preceded her in death. She leaves a brother, Tom Anderson, of Lisbon, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Koska, of Newark.

Those from Minnesota who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Clara Eleffson, the Rev. Henry Shurson, Mr. and Mrs. Severt Tendall and son, Orville, and Kathleen Tendall, and Mr. and Mrs. John Dahl, of Ames, Iowa.
