Harold Owen VanBuskirk, 63, of Brownsdale, [Minnesota] passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at the Grand Meadow Health Care Center. There will be a burial service at 10 a.m. Saturday [November 17, 2012] at Amsterdam Cemetery, Goodell, Iowa.

Harold was born Sept. 12, 1948, to Owen and Lillian (Chapman) VanBuskirk in Belmond, Iowa. Shortly after, the family moved to the Brownsdale area, where Harold lived for all of his life except for a time in Rochester. His passion was cars and working on them. He also loved hunting and his fishing trips with friends.

Survivors include his mother, Lillian (Chapman) VanBuskirk of Osage, Iowa; two sisters, Lois (Virgil) Frieden of Bemidji and Linda (Wayne) Jorgenson of Sargeant; six brothers, Harry (Beverly) of Sargeant, Wayne of Rochester, Roy of Chester, Iowa, Gary (Laura) of Rose Creek, Loyd (Tina) of Brownsdale, and Paul of Swea City, Iowa; 18 nephews and nieces; and 21 great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Owen, and his brother, John.

He will be missed by family and good friends. Blessed be his memory. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
