Hold Services for Mrs. Elsie Wiser

Elsie Keith Wiser was born July 31, 1880 at Traer, Iowa, daughter of William and Betsy Keith. She moved with her parents to Goldfield when she was a small child; and became a member of the United Presbyterian church of Goldfield on February 24, 1894. She attended school at Goldfield and later Iowa State college at Ames. She taught in the rural schools of this area and was primary teacher at Renwick for several years. In 1908 she was married to Henry Clyde Wiser; and to this union were born six children: Jean, (Mrs. Bernard Severson of Ruthven); Iris, (Mrs. Clayton Atkinson of San Francisco, Calif.); Dr. Keith Wiser of Greer, S.C.; William of San Francisco, Calif.; Betty, (Mrs. Mervin Axon of Goldfield); and Marjorie, (Mrs. Loren Schipull) of Goldfield. She is also survived by her sister, Miss Bettie Keith of Goldfield, and by two brothers, Jesse of Shoshoni, Wyo., and Paul, of St. Paul, Minn. Mr. Wiser, her husband, passed away on July 2, 1950. She passed away on October 24, 1957, at Clarion hospital, in her 78th year. She loved her home and her church and was a faithful worker in the Women's Missionary society of her church all her days.

Funeral services were held October 16, 1957, at 2 p. m., at the United Presbyterian church, Goldfield. Pall bearers were John Whyte, Braden Stoakes, John French, Dr. F. H. Kelly, Russell Oviatt, Howard Stevenson. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery, Goldfield
