RENWICK WOMAN IS CALLED BY DEATH
Mrs. Anna Klaessy of Renwick was called by death last week after a short illness. She had been a
resident of Renwick fifteen years and is survived by six children. She was seventy-six years of age.

Mrs. Anna Klaessy, seventy-seven years old, died at her home in Renwick Tuesday, Jan. 8. Funeral services were held from the Evangelical Lutheran church in Renwick Thursday, Jan. 10, at one
thirty. The pastor, Rev. E. C. Granner, had charge of the services. Burial was made in the LuVerne cemetery.

Anna Katherine Klassey nee Luchsinger was born September 2, 1851 in Christiana, Norway and died at her home in Renwick, Iowa January 8, 1929 at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 6 days. At the age of three years she came with her parents to the United States and settled at New Glarus, Wis. There she attended school and was confirmed April 6, l869, and became a member of the Swiss Reformed Church, remaining a member to her death. She was united in marriage with Joachim Klaessy in 1871. To this union were born eight children, five daughters and three sons. Her husband, one son and one daughter preceded her in death. Mrs. Klaessy was a faithful wife, devoted mother and a good neighbor to all. The family moved to Iowa in 1891, settling on a farm north of Renwick, moving to Renwick in 1914. She leaves to mourn her departure: Four daughters, Mrs. Ida Stauffacher of Harrisburg, South Dak., Mrs. Emma Bloom, Mrs. Verena Phipps and Mrs. Ottilia Minor of Renwick; two sons, Samuel and Fred of Renwick; 17 grandchildren, her stepmother, three brothers, Nicholas Luchsinger of Monticello, Wis., Waldo Luchsinger of Janesville, Wis., and Samuel Luchsinger of Oshkosh, Wis., and many other relatives and friends. May God grant all a happy reunion in heaven.

Funeral services were held Jan. 10th at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 at the Evangelical church by Rev. E. C. Granner. Burial took place at the LuVerne cemetery.
