Hold Rites for Walter French
Funeral services for Walter B. French, 63, who died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday morning
of last week, were held Friday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church, Rev. C. G. McKnight
officiating.Walter Burton French, son of Alexander S. and Theresa Agnes French, was born at Goldfield on June 8, 1888, and lived practically his entire life in this community. At an early age he joined the United Presbyterian church where he continued his membership until the time of his death. Walter was graduated from Goldfield high school and later completed a course in automobile mechanics at Detroit, Mich. On August 31, 1938, he was married to Mrs. Mary Thompson. His wife and two daughters, Miss Mildred Thompson of Clarion and Mrs. Kenneth Isenberg of New Ulm, Minn., survive him; also a son-in-law and a granddaughter, Lois Jean. Beside these he is survived by a brother, John, a sister, Alta, who live north of Goldfield, and a sister, Frances, Mrs. Harland Speer of St. Louis, Mo.
