Clifford Olson, Dies Thursday

Clifford Olson, 54, of Goldfield died Thursday afternoon at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He is survived by his wife, one son, Duane Olson of Goldfield and one daughter and two sisters, Mrs, Patricia Lenz of Story City, Mrs. Bert Pletcher of Clarion and Mrs. Louis Akin of Carroll. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christian church with Rev. Eldon Jardebauer officiating. Music was by Mrs. P. M. Clausen, Mrs. Joel Duitscher accompanied by Averill Blewett, Casket bearers were Joel Duitscher, Albert Hansen, Loren McIntyre, F. M. Clausen, James Clausen and Lloyd Skafte. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery at Goldfield. He had been a life long resident of Goldfield vicinity. He had been a patient at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines for two weeks following an operation. Mr. Olson was a past master of Fountain City Masonic lodge and was also an officer in the First Christian church.
