Services Held For Archie A. Blewett
Archie A. Blewett, 84, died Monday morning at the Sisson Nursing Home in Humboldt where he had been a patient a short time. Mr. Blewett had made his home here for several years with his daughter, Miss Averil Blewett, a teacher at Rolfe Community School. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield with burial in Glenwood Cemetery. Born in Plymouth County, Mr. Blewett moved to Britt where he attended country schools of Hancock County. The family moved to Goldfield where he graduated from Goldfield High School in 1906 and attended Drake University for two years. He owned a funeral home in Goldfield for some time and later became associated with a funeral home at Eagle Grove. He had also owned a hardware store in Goldfield which he operated for 46 years. He is survived by his daughter, Miss Averil Blewett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Augusta, [Hansen] in 1963.
