GLADYS TEGLAND DIES OF ILLNESS
Rites Wednesday in Eagle Grove

EAGLE GROVE — Miss Gladys Tegland, 20, died Sunday at the home of a sister in Waterloo, after
an illness of a week. She had been employed in Waterloo for two months as a stenographer, and formerly in Washington, D. C., in the same line of work for two years. Funeral services will be held at East Side Lutheran church Wednesday in charge of the Rev. T. J. Severtson. Burial will be made in Trinity cemetery, north of Thor, by Kubitschek and Kastler, Eagle Grove. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Tegland, in this city, and by 6 sisters and 4 brothers living elsewhere. She had been a student in the A. I. B. school in Des Moines. She was born in Humboldt county, and had lived in the vicinity most of her life.

Miss Gladys Tegland, 20, of 302 Commercial street, died at 7:30 a.m. at her home, of peritonitis. She was secretary to an employee of the United States war department at the Iowa Transmission company plant. A sister living here is Mrs. Ralph J. Rowe, 302 Commercial. The body was taken to Eagle Grove, Ia., Miss Tegland's former home. The funeral will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday in Eagle Grove.
