Rites Conducted at Eagle Grove for Silas Bennett, 83

EAGLE GROVE — Silas Bennett, 83, died at the University hospital at Iowa City Saturday. The body was brought to Eagle Grove. Funeral services were held at the Kubitschek Kastler funeral home Tuesday, in charge of the Rev. J. B. Tumbleson of the Methodist church, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove. He was ill for two weeks at the hospital. He had no relatives in this vicinity but a niece, Mrs. Isabel McIntyre, lives in Wichita, Kans. He had lived in Eagle Grove and vicinity for more than 40 years.

Silas Bennett, 83, died at the University hospital at Iowa City on Saturday after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services were held at the Kubitschek and Kastler Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. J. R. Tumbleson. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Bennett was unmarried and had no relatives in this vicinity. He made his home at 200 North Commercial avenue.
