Kenneth R. Kiley
October 14, 1938 --- July 27, 2012

Ken was born on October 14, 1938, in LuVerne, son of John and Peggy (Vroman) Kiley. He was raised on the family farm near LuVerne. After graduation from Boone Valley High School in Renwick in 1957, he entered the US Army and served three years in Germany. He then farmed near LuVerne for many years. He was united in marriage to Diane Riley on June 28, 1964 at the First Presbyterian Church in Algona. Unto this union was born four children: Debra Annette, Melissa Sue, Angela Rose, and Gary Dean.

Ken was an avid sports fan and anything that had to do with sports Ken was playing. He played soft ball for the Renwick town team for many years.

Ken died Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Heart of Wright Center in Clarion at the age of 73. Ken is survived by his wife Diane Kiley of Clarion; two daughters, Melissa (Chuck) Spurling, of Goldfield and Angela (Doug) Vinson of Ft Dodge; a son Gary Kiley Ft. Dodge; six grandchildren Tricia Peters, Eric Vinson, Amber Spurling, Kenny Spurling, Emile Vinson, and Ethan Vinson; and he was blessed with one great grandson, Bentley James. He is also survived by four brothers, Leonard, Dwayne, John and Ernie; a brother-in-law, Richard Riley of Algona; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Debra; and his parents John and Peggy.
