Funeral Services for Tony Hendriksen were held Monday, June 14 at Eyler Funeral Home with the Rev. E. C. Allen of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Galt cemetery with military rites conducted at the grave side.

Thorvald Marinus Hendriksen was born, the oldest child of Rasmus and Anna Henriksen on January
27, 1889 near Nakskov, Denmark and passed away in his sleep at the Heritage Home at Clarion, Iowa, on June 12, 1965 at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 15 days. After spending his childhood days in Denmark he came to the United States as a young man on May 19, 1909. On July 16, 1918 he entered the U. S. Army at Yankton, South Dakota. After his discharge from the army he was employed by the Chicago Great Western railroad for 35 years from which he retired in January 1954. On Oct. 6, 1954 he was united in marriage to Ruth (Steenblock) Paulsen at Chillicothe, Mo. He was a member of the Methodist church and I.O.O.F. and Rebekah Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, one step-son Kenneth Paulsen of St. Louis, Mo., three brothers and one sister living in Denmark and other relatives and friends.
