Services For Mrs. Alice Bunn
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mae Bunn, 93, long time Wright county resident were held Saturday at 10 o'clock at the Eyler Funeral Chapel. The Rev. E. C. Allen, pastor of the Methodist Church officiated and burial was at the Galt cemetery.
Alice Mae Barnes, the eldest daughter of Samuel and Adelina Barnes was born April 4, 1868 near Buffalo, New York, and passed away at the Clarion Memorial Hospital March 15, 1962 after an
illness of seven and one-half months. When she was a small child she came with her parents to Sibley, Illinois where she grew up. On February 21, 1889, she was marrled to Charles M. Bunn of Sibley, Illinois. They later moved to Galt, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death in 1916. Also preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and two daughters. Mrs. Bunn has been a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and a member of the Clarion Methodist Church since 1915. She had belonged to the Progress Club for over 45 years. Surviving are one daughter, Minnie (Mrs. J. R. Tucker) with whom she resided and six sons, Clyde, Valle, Vernon, Charles and Bernard all of Clarion and Rutherford of Dows. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ennis Barnes of Tower Hill, Indiana.Wright County Monitor -- Clarion, Iowa
