Charles Mourlam Rites Saturday

Funeral services for Charles J. Mourlam, 82, retired Woolstock farmer, were held Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Kastler Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. The Rev. Leon Wallace, pastor of Woolstock Methodist Church officiated and burial was in the French Cemetery at Woolstock. Mr. Mourlam died of a heart condition Thursday at Clarion Community Memorial Hospital. Born in Alsace-Lorraine, France, Mr. Mourlam settled in the Woolstock area after coming to the United States with his parents in 1889. He married Ida B. Hilpipre at Woolstock in 1911 and the couple farmed near here for many years. He had not completely retired from farming until his recent illness. Surviving Mr. Mourlam are his widow and six children; George of Clarion, Clifford of Clear Lake, Mrs. Kenneth Wilcox and Mrs. Carlyle Anderson of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Carroll Wilson of Ames and Mrs. Harold Claude of Woolstock. Three brothers, Emile and Albert of Webster City and James of Eagle Grove, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Malaise of Woolstock and Mrs. Helen Jaynes of Williams also survive. There are four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
