R. R. Crabtree Dies in Wisconsin

Russell R. Crabtree of Oconto, Wisconsin, passed away on October 29 of a heart attack. He was born March 12, 1904. In July of this same year, his wife, Lillian, died of a heart attack. Mr. Crabtree graduated from the Clarion High School in 1922 and was also a graduate of State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. Since his graduation he had taught school in Iowa and Wisconsin. He was teaching in the Oconto schools at the time of his death. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Masonic services were held Thursday, October 31, at Oconto. Funeral services were held at Ettrick, Wisconsin, Saturday, November 2 with burial at Ettrick. He leaves to mourn his passing, two daughters, Jeanne, 19, and Schyrel, 14; his mother, Mrs. Eleanor Crabtree of Clarion; a sister, Mrs. Golda B. Hecox of Clarion; two brothers, Raymond of Carroll and Roy of Fort Dodge. Among the relatives attending the services were Raymond Crabtree of Carroll; Mr. and Mrs. Roy W. Crabtree of Fort Dodge; Mrs. Golda B. Hecox of Clarion; Robert W. Hecox of Spencer and Dale I. Hecox of Oak Park, Illinois.
