December 6, 1886 --- November 2, 1938

Frank Benjamin Thompson was born December 6, 1886, near Webster City, Iowa. He grew to manhood in Iowa and took up the trade of marble cutter. In the year 1905 he was married to Miss Trilla B. Frear. They continued to live in Iowa until 1916 when they came to Whitefish where Mr. Thompson entered the service of the Great Northern as brakeman. He was still in the railway service at the time of his death, November 2, 1938, when he died suddenly while on a hunting trip in the South Fork. He was 51 years of age. He is survived by his son, L. E. Thompson of Bremerton, Washington, a daughter, Mrs. Joe Laux of Kalispell, three brothers, Lou Thompson of Doon, Iowa, Bert Thompson of Ortley, South Dakota, and Ira Thompson of Summit, South Dakota, and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Moore of Whitefish, with whom he had made his home, and Mrs. D. Pease, of Woolstock, Iowa.
