Iowa Man Dies of Hiccoughs

Webster City, Ia., April 10. — William Kaufman, of Wright county, died Thursday of hiccoughs. He was first afflicted last Saturday, and the common remedies failed to relieve him. He was a man of strong constitution, and was not confined to his bed until Wednesday.

William Kaufmann, of Wright County, Iowa, was attacked by hiccoughs. He swallowed the proverbial nine cups of water, and his family attempted to frighten the mild convulsions from him, but he grew worse. He was a man of strong constitution, but was compelled to take to his bed, and soon after died in terrible agony.
