Thomas Humphreys, father of Mrs. Don Rogers of Smith Flat, died Friday in a local convalescent hospital. He was 74 years old. Funeral services will be held tomorrow in Maxwell, California, at 2 p.m. in the Maxwell Methodist church, with interment in the Maxwell cemetery. Mr. Rogers lived in El Dorado county only three months. He came here from Maxwell where his widow, Edna J. Humphreys, still resides. He was born Sept. 28, 1889, in Wright county, Iowa. He was a self-employed garage proprietor at Eagle Grove, Iowa, for 35 years. Besides Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Humphreys, he is survived by a son, Gerold Humphreys, of Philadelphia, Pa. and a brother, William Humphreys of Waterloo, Iowa.
