J. W. NICHOLS FOUND DEAD IN BED TUESDAY

Former Northern Iowa Brakeman Discovered by Daughter Dead in His Bed in His Chicago Home.

J. W. Nichols, Chicago, was found dead in his bed by his daughter on Tuesday evening. He had not been sick at all and his death was entirely unexpected. Mr. Nichols, a former Northern Iowa Division brakeman, moved to Chicago about 11 years ago, where he continued in the train service of the Northwestern. He is survived by his wife, the former Anna Buhner and two daughters, Arlene, 15, and Virginia, 11. Mrs. Nichols is an invalid.

Mr. and Mrs. John Buhner left for Chicago Tuesday night, immediately on receipt of the telegram announcing Mr. Nichols' death. They will return this morning, accompanied by Mrs. Nichols and the two daughters. The remains will be taken to the Kubitschek and Kastler funeral home where it was expected the funeral would be held Saturday.
