Clyde Helmick, 83, Eagle Grove, died Saturday, January 31, 1998, at his home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove, with the Rev. William E. Ballard officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove.
Survivors include wife Edna, Eagle Grove; sons Jerry, Clinton, Missouri and Dean, Eagle Grove; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; one great grandchild; four brothers and three sisters.
Clyde Helmick was born July 11, 1914 to Pearl and Effie Parrish Helmick at Centralia, Missouri. He moved to the Woolstock area when he was very young and attended school there. He married Edna Ross of Webster City in 1935. They farmed for many years in the Woolstock and Eagle Grove area. He retired from farming in 1980 and moved to Eagle Grove. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 464 and White Shrine.
