Hattie Louise Buhner was born on November 12, 1904, to John and Rosa Worby Buhner at Fulda, Minnesota. She attended Eagle Grove Schools and at the time helped her family with the housekeeping. She was united in marriage to Harold M. Hansen on July 28, 1941 at Eagle Grove. They made their home in Eagle Grove until his death on December 1, 1976. She entered the Rotary Ann Home in 1989. She was a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Lutheran women's circle.

Hattie Louise Hansen died at the Rotary Ann Home on Tuesday, January 23, 1996, at the age of 91.

Survivors include her brother, John Buhner; and two sisters, Laura Wilde and Freda Fisher, all of Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; three brothers, Charles, LeRoy, and Clarence Buhner; and four sisters Mae Thompson, Anna Nichols, Sadie Buhner, and one in infancy.

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 26, 1996, at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. The Reverend Lyle Peters officiated the 1:30 pm service. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove.
