Gerald S. Price, age 81, of Hampton, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Funeral services for Gerald S. Price will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday April 3, 2012 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 100 North Lee in Dows. Pastor Kalen Fristad will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Dows. Military rites will be provided by the Watson - Beach American Legion Post # 342 of Dows. Visitation for Gerald S. Price will be from 9:00 - 11:00 Tuesday at the funeral home.
Gerald Sanford the son of Clarence and Martha Eynon Price was born September 2, 1930 in Ravalli, MT. He grew up and attended school in Montana. When Gerald was 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He would serve in the Navy for the next 20 years and retire in 1967. He then lived in Tennessee, California, Washington, before coming to Iowa in 1993. Gerald made his home in Dows and lived for a time on an acreage in Morgan Township. He entered the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in 1997. Gerald is survived by friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
