Terry Lee Amspoker, 67, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Cedar Rapids and Clarion, passed away suddenly Dec. 31, 2011, at Pouder Valley Hospital, Fort Collins. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Terry is survived by his mother, Bessie Beauregard of Cedar Rapids; his wife of 39 years, Patricia; their daughter, Valrie (Jarid) Mansfield of Fort Collins, Colo.; his children: daughter, Teri Anne (Dean) Billick of Ely; and sons, Jeff (Cindy) Amspoker of Barnum, Iowa and Brian (Shelby) Amspoker of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; stepdaughter, Julie Ahrens of Boone; stepson, Steve Rodgers of Cedar Falls; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lauren Amspoker, Linda Koehler and Nancy Beauregard; five brothers, Clifford, Richard, Don, Keith and Dean Beauregard; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and infinite friends and acquaintances. Terry was preceded in death by Lori Lynn Amspoker, daughter of Terry and Anna Lea (Scriven); adoptive parents, Loren and Catherine Amspoker; father- and mother-in-law, Richard Sr. and Jeanne McGonigle; and brother-in-law, Rick McGonigle.

Terry was born Aug. 1, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa . He attended Prairie High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was newly retired from Colorado State University of Fort Collins, where he worked nearly 13 years as a licensed plumber in Housing and Dining Services-Operations Management. Terry began his plumbing apprenticeship in 1963 with Best Plumbing in Cedar Rapids. Terry was very proud of his children and family was a very important part of his life. Those who were blessed with the opportunity to know and love Terry have a life greatly enriched by his laughter, spirit and a heart that knew no boundaries. He will be greatly missed and has left behind much, much to be proud of.
