CHAMPAIGN, IL — Marilyn Ruth Cramer of Urbana passed away on Dec. 31, 2011. A private memorial service will be held at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy. Entombment will be at Mount Hope Mausoleum in Champaign.

Marilyn was born on Feb. 24, 1936, in Clarion, Iowa, to Glen and Mildred (Schroeder) Loux. She is survived by four children, Kevin (Terri) Cramer of Tuscola, Gary (Susan) Cramer of Meansville, Ga., Kim Cramer of Urbana and Brian Cramer of Urbana. She has one grandson, Ryan (Alyson) Cramer of Winder, Ga. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Lois (Donald) Fleagle of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Karen Mechem of Dallas, Ga., and Dennis (Kathy) Loux of Hiawatha, Iowa. She shared many years with her longtime companion, Don Elliott, of Urbana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Norma Jean Loux.

She worked many years in retail cosmetic sales at Goldblatt's Department Store, Robeson's Department Store and Bergner's Department Store. She also worked many years as a waitress for The Lincoln Lodge in Urbana. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes football and basketball fan. She also had a special love for our four-legged friends. She had a very generous heart and kind spirit that she shared with many. She will be greatly missed by many dear friends and family. Memorials may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society.
