C. Ann Olson, 77, of Waverly, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. There will be no visitation or services per Ann's request her body has been cremated. The Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home of Waverly, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be sent to the family.
Ann was born on September 24, 1934, the daughter of Perry B. and Eunice Bell (Hull) Liebig in Frankfort, South Dakota. She began her elementary schooling in Frankfort until the family moved to Rapid City, South Dakota in 1942, where Ann continued her education. On April 18, 1953, she was united in marriage to Stanley L. Olson in Belle Fouche, South Dakota. The couple made their home on a farm northwest of Clarion, Iowa where Ann was a mom and homemaker. In 1972, they sold the farm and moved to Marshalltown, Iowa where they owned and operated a motel. They later purchased a Culligan business in Allison. The couple later divorced and Ann continued to live in Allison. She later moved north of Plainfield and in the early 1980's, she moved to Waverly. Ann was employed at Wartburg College and Wal-Mart. She loved her dachshunds and kitties.
Survivors are her daughter, Vickie (Miltenberger) Olson of Mason City, Iowa; two sons, Steve (Donna) Olson of Nevada, Iowa and Scott Olson of Colorado Spring, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine (Bob) Moore of New Bern, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Genevieve "Genny" Liebig of Rapid City, South Dakota; kitty companion, Leo and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Daryl R. and P. James "Jim" Liebig; 3 sisters, Margaret "Lucelle" Liebig, Arlene "Jewel" L. Bach and Esther Eloyse L. McCormick; granddaughter, Amber Lynn Olson; nephews, Perry James Liebig and Roy Dean Liebig; and by a niece, Mary Christine Suddeth.
