Funeral services for Becky Jean Snell Schipull, 55, of Renwick, were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at United Methodist Church, Renwick, with the Rev. Karen Dearchs officiating. Casketbearers were Andy Bernhard, Larry Troxel, Richard Watts, Terry Schaffer, Marv Bosworth and Kevin McCullought. Interment followed at Vernon Township Cemetery at Hardy. Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Renwick, was in charge of arrangements.

Becky Jean Snell Schipull was born Oct. 6, 1946, at Lake Park to Dale and Wilma (Lenz) Snell. Becky was a graduate of Lake Park High School in 1965. She married Roger Werner, and three children were born to this union. Becky later married Roger Schipull on April 6, 1980, in Renwick. Becky enjoyed helping Roger on the farm, both with the field work and the livestock. She also enjoyed gardening, camping, flowers, cooking and canning, fishing and working in the out of doors. Becky took much pride in her collection of teddy bears. Becky was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Renwick, as well as the Hi Neighbor Club and the Humboldt Snow Skimmers Club. Becky's real enjoyment was her friends and family.

Becky died unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6, 2002, at Mercy Health Center - North Iowa, in Mason City. Survivors include her husband, Roger, of Hardy; her children Michael Werner and his wife, Stacie, of Milford; Scott Werner and wife, Kellie, Spirit Lake; and Kimberly Tolman and husband, Troy, of Spirit Lake; as well as six grandchildren. Also surviving is Becky's mother, Wilma Snell of Milford. Becky was preceded in death by her father, Dale, and brother, Lenny Snell.
