Services Held for Mrs. M. Louise Folkedahl

Rosary Services were held Monday evening at the Eyler Funeral Home in Clarion for M. Louise Folkedahl, who died at the Clarion Heritage Home after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted at St. John's Catholic church Tuesday, March 5, 1968 with the Eyler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Stanley Shupe, Earl McGrath, Robert Strever, John Sheffield, Roy Menke and Dick Mueller. Father Hoffmann officiated and burial was in the Evergreen cemetery at Clarion.

M. Louise Folkedahl was born on a farm near Charles City, Iowa on November 22, 1892 to Daniel and Mary Morgan Snyder. In 1916 Louise was united in marriage to Chris A. Folkedahl. Following their marriage they established a home in Clarion, where she spent her remaining years. No children were born of this union, but they took into their home a niece and nephew, Mrs. Dick Robson and Joe Folkedahl. Mrs. Folkedahl was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris, her parents and one brother, Bart Snyder of Charles City. Surviving are her foster children, Mrs. Dick Robson of Clarion and Joe Folkedahl of Stockton, Calif., two brothers, Fred Snyder of Waterloo and Earl Snyder of Charles City and three nieces.
