Harriet Ann Robson, 79, of Clear Lake, died Sunday, July 8, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2001 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1001 9th Ave S., Clear Lake, with Msgr. Robert Hogan and John Ayers officiating. Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or Opportunity Village in her name.
Harriet was born Oct. 6, 1921 in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Joseph B. and Harriet (Salmon) Folkedahl. After the death of her mother at the age of one, she was reared by her Uncle Chris and Louise Folkedahl in Clarion, Iowa. Harriet graduated from Clarion High School in 1938. She married Richard B. Robson Oct. 8, 1938 in Mason City, Iowa. They lived in Clarion until 1972 when they moved to Clear Lake, where they lived in Buzzard's Bay until moving to their present home in 1995. Harriet enjoyed fishing, gardening, painting, playing bridge, cooking, going to the Surf to dance and assisting her husband in making wine. She was very active in the church and helping others. Harriet was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and North Iowa Wine Club.
Harriet is survived by her husband, Richard (Dick) Robson, Clear Lake; two children, Beth Ann McIntyre and her husband, Garner, Longmont, Colo., and Dan Robson and his wife, Vicky, Emmons, Minn.; six grandchildren, Kris Johnson, Kelly Fuqua, Kim Johnson, Dan Robson Jr. and his wife, Shelley, Danielle Robson, and Jeremy Robson and his wife, Kristin; seven great grandchildren, Alex, Jeff and Janalynne Robson, Kaili Robson, Tyson and Brittney Hart, and Emilie Fuqua; one brother, Joe Folkedahl, Fall Brook, Calif. Harriet is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Harriet Folkedahl, and half-sister, Norma Milos.
