21 January 1917 -- 15 February 1993

Lyle Rapp, 76, Stratford, a former Webster City resident, died Feb. 15, 1993 at the Stratford Care Center. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Don Ripley officiating. Burial is in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the Foster Funeral Home until time of service.

Lyle Forest Rapp, son of Katie Rapp was born Jan. 21, 1917 on a farm in Wright County. He attended rural school in Wright County. On Nov. 23, 1941, he married Pauline Marie Smith at Princeton, Mo. The couple farmed in the Woolstock and Webster City areas. When he retired in 1977, he moved to Webster City. For a short time, he resided at Southfield Care Center. Since November 1990, he resided at the Stratford Care Center.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary & Tom Halder, Webster City and Judy and LeRay Eide, Stanhope; granddaughters, Alicia Lateer, Covington, Ky. and Amy Lateer, Webster City; and cousin, Eva Adams, Staples, Minn. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother. He was a member of the first Baptist Church.
