Mrs. Rapp died Sunday

Mrs. Lyle Rapp, 49, a long-time resident of Webster City community, died suddenly Sunday evening at the farm northwest of Webster City in Fremont township. Her death was attributed to a heart attack. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral home with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Pauline Marie Smith, daughter of Claude and Mary Smith, was born Feb. 19, 1920, at Webster City and was reared and educated in this community. She was united in marriage Nov. 23, 1941, to Lyle Rapp, and the couple farmed in the Woolstock - Webster City community. For the past 17 years they had resided on a farm in Fremont township, northwest of this city.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Mary Lateer of Webster City and Mrs. Douglas (Judy) Pinkele of Eagle Grove; two grandchildren, Alicia and Amy Jo Lateer; her father, Claude Smith, of Eagle Grove; five brothers and three sisters, Francis Smith, Claude (Bill) Smith, Mrs. Howard (Fern) Austin, and Mrs Estaline (Peg) Hilpipre, all of Webster City, Paul Smith of Eagle Grove, Ralph Smith of Fresno, Calif., Wayne Smith of Culver City, Calif., and Mrs Howard (Dode) Hilpipre of Woolstock, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister who died in Infancy. Mrs. Rapp was a member of the First Baptist church at Webster City.
