LA PALMA, CA - Judith Ann Lowman Oliver, 62, a former Algona resident, died Thursday, November 7 (2002). Judy had been afflicted the past year with possible Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. Funeral service for her was held in the Sky Rose Chapel at Rose Hill Cemetery, Whittier, CA, on Tuesday, November 12, with Pastor Paul Coneff officiating.

A daughter of Marie and Perry Lowman, Judy was born August 30, 1940, at Algona, IA. She attended school in the Irvington Township No. 1 country school at Sexton then came to the Algona schools where she graduated from Algona High School in the Class of 1958.

Judith was married to William J. Oliver on November 28, 1959, at Algona. Judy and Bill moved from Eagle Grove , IA to Portland, OR in 1960. They have lived in California since 1968.

Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished the many special times with her family. She attended NW Missouri State College and was a real estate broker. She is survived by her husband, Bill, and four children; Kim De Laura, Anaheim, CA; William Jeffrey, La Palma, CA; David Dean Oliver, Temecula, CA; and Judith Alana Ogilvie, Tumwater, WA. There are 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Other survivors are her mother, Marie Nordstrom Lowman of Seal Beach, CA; sisters, Marilyn, LaQuinta, CA; Shirley Siggers, Seal Beach, CA; Nancy McFall, Cathedral City, CA; brothers, Dean of La Palma, CA and David, Algona. She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Lowman, who died October 9 (2002); father-in-law, William Oliver in 1960 and brother-in-law, Richard T. McFall in 2001.
