September 23, 1915 --- November 8, 2002

Huxley, IA -- E. Louise Floden, 87, of Huxley, died of complications of cancer Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Mercy Hospice-Johnston. The body was cremated and memorial services were held Thursday, Nov. 14, at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley, of which she was a member. Burial of the cremains was at Fjeldberg Cemetery near Huxley.

E. Louise Floden was born in Polk County. She had farmed in the Slater and Cambridge areas and had also lived in Slater, Clear Lake, Eagle Grove, La Junta, Colo., and Madrid before moving to Huxley in 1978. She also was a homemaker and seamstress and was active in her church and in 4-H.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbar Ozmun of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Judie Weyer of Huxley and Beth Albrecth of Van Meter; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley. Soderstrum-Riis Funeral Home in Slater was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Ballard Creek Community or Mercy Hospice-Johnston.
