Bessie Agard Pantaleone, 100, of Story City, died Wednesday from complications of a stroke at Bethany Manor in Story City. Services are pending at a later date. Burial of cremains will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield.

Bessie Agard Pantaleone was born in Goldfield, the daughter of Guy E. and Alice N. (Hinton) Agard. She also lived in Ames, Toledo, Ohio, and Seattle, Wash. She worked as a buyer for Lions Store in Toledo, Ohio, before retiring. She married Joseph Phillip Pantaleone in 1956. She was an associate member of Magnolia Presbyterian Church in Magnolia, Wash.; and was a member of the Magnolia Garden Club.

She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Agard of Ames. She was preceded in death by her husband; seven brothers; and one sister. Neptune Cremation Society of Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
