Mark B. Potts, age 92 of New Berlin and formerly of Jefferson, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown, with Fr. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call on Tuesday after 9:30AM at the Church. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service, is serving the Family.

Mark was born on October 18, 1912 in Belmond, IA, the son of George W. and Madeline (Madell) Potts. On September 14, 1940 he married the former Elsie A. Hain in Cornell, WI. He retired in 1977 after 25 years of service with the former Kearney & Trecker Corp, where he was the lead man in the special machine products division. Survivors include his wife Elsie, a son Mark (Mary) Potts, Jr. of New Berlin, 6 brothers Fred, Lawrence (Freda), Hughie, Paul (Mildred), Raymond and Phillip (Shirley) Potts, a sister Mary (Bill) Taylor, a sister-in-law Dorothy Potts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers George and Edward Potts and 3 sisters Catherine Heinrich, Margaret Kress and Lorraine Gabert.

Mark was born October 18, 1912, in Belmond, Iowa, son of George W. and Madeline (Madell) Potts. On September 14, 1940, he married the former Elsie A. Hain in Cornell. Mark retired in 1977 after 25 years of service with the former Kearney & Trecker Corp., where he was the lead man in the special machine products division. He had been a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson.
