Peggy Ann Nerem, 63, of Badger, died December 28, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the Badger Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Lake Lutheran Cemetery near Renwick. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home, Humboldt.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Clair Nerem of Badger; daughter, Leah (Aaron) Storino of Oxford, AL; son, Paul Nerem of Bowling Green, KY; grandson, Benjamin Storino; and sister, Paulette (George) Peterson of Fort Dodge.
Peggy Ann Peterson, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Jewell) Peterson, was born April 6, 1948 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised on a farm south of Hardy and attended school at Goldfield. Following her graduation from Goldfield High School in 1966, Peggy attended Mankato State University. On August 19, 1967, she was united in marriage to Clair Nerem at the Methodist church in Goldfield. The couple made their homes in the communities of Blairsburg, Webster City, Sanborn, Plymouth, South St. Paul, MN, Iron Wood, MI, and Manly before settling in Badger.
Peggy was a member of Badger Lutheran Church. A life long horse lover, Peggy enjoyed trail riding and her membership in the Boone Valley Saddle Club. Peggy was involved in 4-H where she served as a leader and helped to establish the 4-H Horse Club. She enjoyed camping and fishing, flower and vegetable gardening, and traveling, especially out west.
