MADELINE MAE KASTNER, Age 88, peacefully passed from this life on Monday, November 14, 2011 in her residence at Sun City Gardens. She was born Madeline Mae Peterson on February 2, 1923 in Eagle Grove, IA, where she was raised along with her two brothers Clarence and Linsworth. As a young woman, she briefly worked as a waitress in her local area. In her early 20's, she moved to Washington DC where she pursued a secretarial job with the FBI. She left the FBI at the age of 22 when she married Alfred Ernest Kastner. They decided to move to Oceanside, CA in pursuit of starting a new life out west. In Oceanside, Madeline was a housewife busy with raising her two children and taking care of the household while Alfred worked in the Heating and Air Conditioning Industry. About 20 years ago, Alfred and Madeline left Oceanside and settled in Sun City, CA. Madeline was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 2003. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Diana & Bob Merideth of Oceanside, CA; her son and daughter-in-law Richard & JoAnn Kastner of Menifee, CA; her granddaughters Kim Northrup & Jessica Sisler; her great-grandchildren Cody, Kyle, Chloe, & Jade; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A Celebration of Madeline's life will take place on Sunday, November 20th at 1:00PM at the Evans - Brown Mortuary.
