EAGLE GROVE - Glen A. Porter, 78, died last evening at Mercy Hospital Fort Dodge. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge. Surviving are the widow, Mary; children: Emil, Calexico, Calif.; Russell, Cincinnati, Ohio; Francis, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Floyd Blomker, Rutland; Mrs. Harold Larson, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Miles Benda, Tempe, Ariz., 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Porter was born in Loogootee, Ind., and married Mary Wildman. The couple farmed in the Vincent area until moving to Eagle Grove on retirement in 1958.
