Tressa Avis Neese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Neese, was born August 21, 1893 and died May 20, 1936 at the St. Frances hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Mrs. Barnes spent her girlhood days at Stratford, Iowa, graduated from the high school

To this union were born two children, a son Beryl Charles and a daughter Lois Faye who passed away in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Barnes lived at Ogden, Iowa for two years, both becoming members of the South Beaver Baptist Church. They moved to Dows, Iowa, where they resided for eleven years. A year ago last September they moved to Waterloo from Webster City. Mrs. Barnes attended the Waterloo School of Beauty Cultural, graduating in April 1935. She was devoted to her profession, and because of her charming personality made many friends, who mourn her passing. Mrs. Barnes was about her work as usual on Saturday, became sick on Sunday and was removed to the hospital on Monday. Though her condition was thought not serious, her death occurred on Wednesday at noon. Left to mourn her sudden departure are her husband and son; her father M. A. Neese of Dana, two brothers, Vernon of Grand Junction and Guy of Rippey. Her mother preceded her in death April 28, 1934. Mrs Barnes dearly loved her home and was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
