ROBERT (BOB) CHANDLER SCHWIEGER, passed away after a brief illness on July 25, 2011 at the University of Miami Hospital. Bob was born in Dows, Iowa on September 25, 1926 and graduated from high school in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Upon graduation he served in the United States Marine Corps from which he received an honorable discharge in 1946. Bob married Raynette Kaufman in 1948. They graduated from Iowa State College (now University) in 1949. Later that year he and Raynette moved to Washington D.C. and worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Bob left the Bureau in 1961 and accepted a position as Director of Safety and Security for the Miami Division of Winn Dixie Stores, Inc. He lived in Miami Springs from January of 1962 until his death. Bob is survived by his wife, two children Julie Schwieger Kennard and Paul Kaufman Schwieger, three granddaughters, one great granddaughter and his brothers John and Thomas. Bob was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church. While living in Miami he attended Methodist churches in Miami Springs and Coral Gables.
