Ruth Elizabeth Howell Nunn, 91, Lincoln, Nebraska went to her Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2011. She was born July 17, 1919 in Hardy, Iowa the oldest child of seven children to P. Dewey and Vera (Chaffee) Howell. Ruth spent the first twenty years of her life working on the family farm in Humboldt, Iowa and attending two years of college in Mason City, Iowa. She married Everett J. Nunn on June 2, 1942. She worked various jobs, including the “Patio”, Miller and Paine, Wesleyan College, and Montgomery Wards, where she retired at age 62. She was a charter member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, former member of Morning Circle and American Legion Auxiliary. Her creative talent was the makes of dozens of hand-sewn quilts for her family and friends.

Visitation: One hour prior to service time
Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday (7-11-11) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Family Gathering: One hour prior to service time

Cemetery: Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska

She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her husband Everett J. (Deceased), children, Darrell E. (Peg) Nunn, Lincoln, Mary E. Rinearson, Marion, IN, Roger A. (Yvonne) Nunn, Lincoln; grandchildren, Scott (Missy) Nunn, Chris (Heather) Nunn, all of Lincoln, Stacy L. Rinearson, Rex, GA, Eric Rinearson, Jackson, GA and Alanna Nunn (special friend Jeff Crawford), Kansas City, MO; great grandchildren, Jordan Nunn (special friend Michael Gude), Alex Nunn and Teren Nunn, Lincoln, NE, Hunter M. Kay, Indianapolis, IN, and Elizabeth L. Rinearson-Wilcox, Rex, GA; sisters, Ruby (Ray) Jacoshenk, Portland, OR, and Dorothy Jones, Citrus Heights, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett J., parents, son Everett Wayland, 2 brothers and sisters, special friend Robert Black.
