KLEMME, IA - Abbigale F. Marciniak, one day old infant daughter of Michael and Crystal Marciniak, became one of heaven's little angels on Thursday, July 14, 2011, after being brought into this world at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Abbigale's earthly journey was unable to continue due to complications from a rare (1 in 16,000 births) genetic disorder known as Trisomy 13, or Patau syndrome, a non-inherited disorder where the chromosome 13 appears three times rather than the normal twice in the cells of the body. Public funeral services will will be on Saturday, July 16, at 10:30 p.m., at the Andrews Funeral Home, 528 East Main Street, Klemme. The Reverend Paddy Druhl will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home Saturday. Those wishing to express their sympathies through a memorial in Abbigale's name may wish to direct them to the family at 528 Paul's Drive, Klemme IA 50449, or the donor's choice.

Abbigale's family was anxiously awaiting her arrival into the world, but they eventually were informed that her life journey would be very brief if it were to occur at all due to her unique disorder. During her brief time with them she brought tears, smiles, hugs, and of course even filled their ears and hearts with a bit of baby music from her tiny lungs. Her beautiful smile and twinkling eyes will now forever be their guardian angel peering down on them from above. Abbigale's memory will be cherished by her loving parents, Mike and Crystal Marciniak, and her big 1 1/2-year-old brother, Collin, all of Klemme; grandparents, James (Loretta) Dugan, Garner, and her grandparents, James (Connie) Marciniak, Klemme, great grandmothers, Vernia Ryerson, Garner, and Darlene Trenary, Kanawha, great great-grandma, Gladys Barz, Garner, great grandpa, Dewey Jones, Ontario, Calif., aunts and uncles, Adam (Cindy) Christie, and children, Jarod, Josslyn Christie, Garner, aunt, Cathy Dugan, Granger, aunt, Laura Etter, Pleasanton, Calif., uncles, Dustin (Maranda) Etter and their kids, Kalen, Marley, and Nic, Garner, and uncle, James Marciniak, Klemme.
