CORWITH, IA - Duane Donald Kiefer Sr. passed from this life on Friday, July 8, 2011, from complications of the heart. Duane was born July 19, 1939, to Donald and Gertrude Kiefer. He attended school in Carlise. He was married to Judith Kay Dominquez Richardson on July 19, 1958, in Des Moines. They had eight children, Duane Jr. of Kanawha, Angel Dirksen (Keith) of Corwith, Dennis of Corwith, (Tina) Donald, David of Corwith, (Leah) Mike of Mason City, and Aaren and Jeffery of Corwith; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Duane and Judy also helped raise many foster children over the years. He loved helping children, fishing and spending time with his family. Duane will be greatly missed forever more by all that knew him. A memorial service was held Sunday night by friends and family at his home. No other services will be held.
