Albert M. Eberhardt Funeral Was Saturday

Albert M. Eberhardt, long time resident of the Glasco community, passed away Wednesday, August 26, at the Nicol Rest Home in Glasco. He was 94 years old. Funeral services were conducted from the Dean Funeral Home in Glasco Saturday, August 29, with Pastor Maurice Miles of the Christian Church officiating. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Studt, Albert Grittman, Lowell Nutland, Lester Pilcher, Dee Gates and Purl Bailey. Organist was Marilyn Harwood and singers were Deva Wampler and Carolyn Walker.

Albert Myron Eberhardt was born December 31, 1869, in [Wright County] Iowa to John Eberhardt and Mary Sergeant Eberhardt. As a small boy the family moved to Kansas and settled near Glasco. He received his education in the Rangeline and Prairie Point schools near Glasco and also attended summer school for one summer in Salina. In 1905 Bert married Minnie Munson. She passed away when their daughter, Ruth, was 15 months old. On September 27, 1917 in the Baptist parsonage of Concordia Bert was married to Myra Florence Crowe of Chanute. Bert farmed in the Glasco area until his retirement. They moved to Glasco in 1949. He was a member of the old Adventist Christian Church of Glasco and later he and his wife concentrated their interests in the First Christian Church of Glasco. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Charles F. Robbins of Scandia; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; two brothers J.H. Eberhardt of Glasco and Walter E. Eberhardt of Kansas City; and one sister, Mrs. Leola Rogers of Concordia.
