Myrle Hilsabeck was born on April 14, 1914 in Green Mountain, Iowa, the daughter of John E. and Lottie May Yetley Estal. She began her education in a rural school of the area. On September 6, 1921 she entered the new Green Mountain Independent school from which she graduated with high honors. Following graduation she worked at the Farmers Elevator in Green Mountain and at the Tallcorn restaurant in Marshalltown. On May 14, 1937 she was united in marriage to Robert L. (Bob) Hilsabeck at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Robert Cook in Renwick, Iowa. Following marriage they made their home on a farm northwest of Green Mountain. To this marriage a daughter, Betty N. and a son, David R. were born. Myrle was a lifelong member of the Green Mountain Church, and a charter member of the Three M Study Club. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Myrle is survived by: husband: Bob of Marshalltown; daughter: Betty (Ron) Ulin, Marshalltown; son: David (Jean) Hilsabeck, Marshalltown; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents, two brothers: Wendell and Wayne Estal and a sister-in-law; Dorothy Estal. Vogel Family Funeral Homes, 405 West Main Street, Marshalltown, Iowa.
