Donna Jean (Beckel) Jones was born Aug. 6, 1934 in Vincent, Iowa to Arthur and Helen (Yenck) Beckel. She graduated in the class of 1953 from Clarinda High School. Jeannie married Horace Jones Sept. 25, 1953 in Omaha, and to this union were born two sons: Randy and Vince. Jeannie worked at the Gillispie Nursing Home in Clarinda as well as the S&H Green Stamp Store. Jeannie passed away March 30, 2011 at the Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Surviving Jeannie are her sons: Randy Jones and wife Amy of Farragut, and Vince Jones and wife Staci of Clarinda; grandchildren: Trent, Mallory, Zoey, Donavan and Chaz; sister Diane Moulden and husband Danny of Kansas; brothers: Don Beckel and wife Rita of Clarinda, and Darrell Beckel and wife Charleen of Okoboji; many nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services for Jeannie were held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the Clarinda Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Jeannie Jones Memorial Fund. Walker-Merrick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
