Russell Shehorn, 59, longtime resident of the Woolstock community, died Thursday afternoon at the Hamilton county hospital where he had been a patient the past three weeks. He had been in ill health several years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Leon Wallace officiating and with burial in Memorial Park cemetery at Fort Dodge.
Samuel Russell Shehorn, son of James and Mary Shehorn, was born July 26, 1903, at Rinard, Ill. He was reared and educated in the Rinard and Flora communities. He was united in marriage Aug. 6, 1925, to Lillian Lough, and following their marriage, the couple moved to Iowa. They farmed in the Eagle Grove and Woolstock areas until 1947, when they moved into Woolstock, where they had since resided. He is survived by his wife; two sons and one daughter [names missing]; nine grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Mrs. Richard Kautz of Rinard and Wesley Shehorn, Fairfield, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
