October 6, 1897 -- August 8, 1984

Rudy J. Klave, 86, of Akron died Wednesday in a Belmond (Iowa) Care Center after a long illness. Services were at 2 p. m. Sunday in Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. A prayer service was at 7 p. m. Saturday in the Schroeder Funeral Home. Mr. Klave was born Oct. 6, 1897, at Akron. He married Anna Steinfadt March 10, 1921, at Hawarden. She died Sept. 20, 1976. He farmed in Sioux and Plymouth counties for many years and moved to Akron in 1959. He was a seed salesman, caretaker at Riverside Cemetery and worked on the Walter E. Dirks farm for many years. He retired in 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Harold of Sioux City and Harlan of Belmond; one brother, Arthur of Akron; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Marshall of Sioux City, Mrs. Onno (Mary) Johnson of Le Mars, Mrs. Robert (Louise) Short and Mrs. Truman (Esther) Watkins, both of Hawarden; four grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
