Richard "Rich" Gregson born Nov. 11, 1936, in Corwith, died peacefully Tuesday (March 24, 2009). Rich served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, traveling all over the world, including England, Thailand and the Philippines. He was fortunate to be able to have his family with him for most of his military service. After retiring from the Air Force he started another career with Glendale Samaritan Hospital, working in plant operations. He then moved with them to Thunderbird Samaritan. He retired in October 2004 after 26 years of service to the hospital. He married his wife Shirley on May 6, 1956, and they enjoyed nearly 53 years together. He loved his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and his painting.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his sons, David (Mary), and Doug (Laura); three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and was getting ready to greet a fourth great-grandchild. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the Chapel at Thunderbird Medical Center, 5555 W. Thunderbird Road, Glendale, AZ 85306. Arrangements entrusted to Valley of the Sun Mortuary, Chandler, Ariz.
