June 2, 1914 -- November 20, 2010

Pearl O. McCoy, 96, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Center in Manson. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery.

Surviving is her sister Dorothy Newell, of Manson. She was preceded in death by her parents John A. and Martha (Dressler) Bornholt, her husband, Harold, and several brothers and sisters.

Pearl Olga Bornholt was born June 2, 1914 in Renwick. She attended the Renwick schools and graduated from Renwick High School. In 1937 she was united in marriage to Harold McCoy and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Pearl was employed at Martin's Flag Company for many years. Harold passed away in 1964 and in Pearl's later years she enjoyed traveling the world. She also loved her church. She was a past member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
